La pomme de terre Pompadour est une variété ½ tardive au rendement assez bon à bon. Elle est née en 1992 d'un croisement entre Roseval et BF 15 à la station de Breteville. Cette variété vigoureuse a de très nombreux tubercules oblongs allongés, de grosseur moyenne, assez réguliers, aux yeux assez superficiels. C’est une pomme de terre de bonne conservation à la peau et la chair jaune. Le plant, de taille haute, a un port demi-dressé, de type rameux. Ses feuilles sont vertes, semi-brillantes et moyennement divisées. Il possède de grandes folioles ovales allongées et des limbes cloqués. Ses fleurs sont blanches mais ne fructifient que très rarement. De très bonne qualité culinaire, on la consomme souvent en salades, pommes sautées, gratins et à la vapeur.
